Bitterns at Marazion

Bittern searching for food at the edge of the reeds
January and Febuary 2010 has seen up to four Bitterns at Marazion marsh in Cornwall, and I, like quite a few others have been trying to get some photos. Three visits to the site and on the first two a Bittern was seen in flight a few times and I managed some passable shots,on the third visit a bird was found hunting for food at the edge of the reedbed,giving great views through the scope but still a little distant for my photography.(oh for a Canon 600mm lens and converter-one day)but still not bad photos,and wonderful seeing this great bird so well.
