Grey Seal Pup
Grey Seal Pup
November 2009. After visiting friends in Derbershire I suggested that we make a detour and visit the Grey Seals at Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast, probably the best site in England to see a breeding colony. On arrival I was amazed too see so many visitors, two car parks full.
The Seals heave themselves out ot the sea to give birth on the sand and in the dunes and can be seen at very close quarters. The site is looked after by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and I defy anybody not to be charmed by the pups with thier big liquid eyes.
